The Heart Behind Maréa.

I built Maréa because I know what it feels like to be surrounded by people but still feel alone.

Hii hiii, my name is Jessica - I'm a certified mat pilates & yoga instructor on island and someone who has spent years watching women — including myself — settle for something less than real connection. The kind of friendship where you don't have to explain yourself. Where someone actually knows you to your core.

I moved to Hawaii and realized I was living a life that felt disconnected, following ‘the norm’ yet feeling emptier than ever so I started building things I actually believe in. Maréa is one of them. It all stemmed from one major truth: women need community & sisters. Not followers. Not acquaintances. Women who actually show up. And the best way I know to build that is to put the right women in a beautiful place together, take care of all the little details and provide a safe place to just be (and be real with themselves.)

A huge dream of mine has been to build retreats that are faith-based, ones where you can connect with sisters in Christ who will encourage your walk in both good & bad times— because for a lot of women, including me, faith isn't separate from the rest of life, it's the foundation of it. You'll always be welcomed here regardless of where you are spiritually but you'll feel the intention behind how we host, in every single moment.

I sat for a long time wondering the right name for these retreats - until it finally hit me like a wave hehe

Maréa means tide. Because the right experience moves something in you. Shifts your perspective. Pulls something loose that's been stuck. Leaves you more yourself than when you arrived. That's what I’m building here. One experience at a time.
